Guru Angad Dev Ji, the second Sikh Guru, was born in 1504 in Matte Di Sarai, Punjab. Succeeding Guru Nanak Dev Ji, he played a pivotal role in the early development of Sikhism. Guru Angad Dev Ji is best known for his contributions to the Sikh scripture and the establishment of the Gurmukhi script. He standardized the script, which became the primary script for writing Sikh scriptures and the Punjabi language, ensuring the preservation and accessibility of Sikh teachings.
